Information about the Shift Admin management team

Patrick Hunt, MD, MBA - Founder and CEO

Dr. Hunt holds a BS in Chemistry and Biochemistry from NC State University, an MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MBA from Duke University. Prior to founding Shift Administrators, LLC, Dr. Hunt was the founder and CEO of PSH Group, LLC, a leading web development firm with clients spanning the globe and the parent company of Bsitter.com. He has expertise in a variety of programming languages and in graphic design. Dr. Hunt currently serves as CEO of Carolina Care, PA, one of the largest single specialty medical practices in the Southeast.

Blake Birkenfeld - Founder and CTO

Mr. Birkenfeld has over 12 years of web and software development experience. He earned his BS degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, and his expertise includes web development, client/server application development, database design, computer algorithms, and graphic design. Mr. Birkenfeld is proficient with many programming technologies including PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, Perl, C, C++, C#, Java, XHTML, Javascript, and CSS. He is currently the Lead Developer for PSH Group, LLC, and prior to that he was a founding partner of Cogentas, LLC.

Hunter Louis, MD - Partner and VP of Integration

Dr. Louis earned a BA from the University of Virginia, an MD from the University of Louisville, and is currently an attending physician in Emergency Medicine in Charleston, SC. He completed an Emergency Ultrasound fellowship at Palmetto Health Richland in 2006, and is interested in healthcare technology and its integration with the world wide web. Prior to joining Shift Admin, Dr. Louis worked as an independent contractor developing numerous health care related websites. He has experience in database design and development, CSS, PHP and graphic design. He currently serves as Vice President of Integration for Shift Admin, assisting clients to fully integrate Shift Admin into their practice.

Megan Louis, MBA - VP of Sales

Mrs. Louis earned a BS in International Business from the College of Charleston and an MBA from The Citadel in 2010. She previously worked as a Senior Sales Representative at Alcon Laboratories, where she earned notable honors, including Presidents Club and Excellence in Leadership awards, and was promoted to a District Sales Trainer. Joining ShiftAdmin in 2011, she currently serves as Vice President of Sales.
